Hollywood Star Brad Pitt Opens Moscow Film Festival
The 35th Moscow International Film Festival opened on Thursday (June 20), with American film star and producer Brad Pitt presenting his new film ‘World War Z’.
Russian and international film stars gathered on the red carpet in Moscow before the festival.
American actor Christian Slater and Russian actress Sofya Skya, who were promoting their new film ‘Assassins Run’, were seen greeting fans and photographers on the red carpet among other stars.
But the crowd went wild when the main star of the evening, Brad Pitt, showed up on the red carpet.
Pitt came to Moscow without his wife Angelina Jolie, but brought his daughters with him.
Still, he came to the festival on his own, saying that his daughters were out sightseeing while he was working.
[Brad Pitt, American Actor]:
"Well, they are out seeing some of the town. We got to see some of it this morning and daddy came to work now and I'll meet up with them later."
Pitt was asked whether he liked Russia.
“Ah, it's great. We've been having such a great time. And my girls were so, like, taken by the Bolshoi; it was really nice to watch them."
The film World War Z premiered in London on June 2.
