The recent hike in diesel prices and a power crisis have also taken their toll.

Pavithran went on to explain that Gemini Circus has over 200 artists, elephants and other animals on it's books and would need help from the government if it was to survive.

During an average performance in Coimbatore, artists mesmerize spectators with a wide array of acts ranging from gymnastics to dare devil antics but no one knows whether the show can go on.
