100 Dolphins Swim Near New Zealand Beach
More than a hundred dolphins swam through Wellington harbour in New Zealand on Thursday.
Crowds on the waterfront were treated to the sight as the dolphin pod swam by.
The dolphins travelled around the inner harbour close to the shore, from Oriental Bay to Somes Island.
Dolphins normally live in pods of up to 12, but where there is an abundance of food, pods can temporarily merge to form super-pods of up to a thousand members.
Local media report that so many motorists stopped to look at the spectacle it caused a traffic jam.
