Skating with the Stars Gala, Benifiting Figure Skating in Harlem held in Central Park

A benefit gala held for non-profit organization, Figure Skating in Harlem -  took place in New York iconic Central Park. – The event titled “skating with the stars’ was indeed a starr studded affair.  Iconic figures like Miss America, Mallory Hagan, former Olymian Scott Hamilton, and Hollywood starlet Tamara Tunie were in attendance to support the organization aimed at transforming young lives through figure-skating. Tunie, also a chairperson for, Figure Skating in Harlem, was on hand and revealed the importance and empowerment behind education. Olympic Gold medalist, Scott Hamilton talked to NTD about how Ice Skating transformed his life growing up as well as his involvement with the non-profit. Sports reporter for NBC, Andrea Joyce and Couture fashion designer, B Michael were honored at the evening’s event. Christina Gao, the young, but  well-known up and coming figure skater, and Olympic hopeful also explained her passion for the sport and the organization, Figure Skating in Harlem. NBC’s sports reporter, Andrea Joyce and couture fashion designer B. Michael were honored at the event for their hands-on involvement with the community and dedication to ‘giving-back’. The event concluded, in taste – with a Benefit Dinner at the notable Boat House in Central Park. Celebrity designer Vera Wang was also in attendance, along with Rhonda Ross, daughter of international Singer, Diana Ross.
