Amy Adams to Play Lois Lane In New Superman

Zack Snyder the director of the new superman movie has found his Lois Lane. Amy Adams will play the head-strong journalist in the in the next superman movie. The actress was contacted by Snyder by phone from Paris, where he was promoting his new movie “Sucker Punch,” according to an exclusive by Los Angeles Times.

Amy Adams is a three time Oscar nominee. She was nominated for an Academy Award for the role she played in the David O. Russell movie “The Fighter.” The film  “Junebug” that premiered in 2005 at the Sundance Film Festival is said to have helped Adams career and also won the young actress a special jury prize for the performance.

In an exclusive interview with the Los Angeles Times, Snyder said, “There was a big, giant search for Lois…For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”

You may be asking, who will be playing the man in red and blue, that would be Henry Cavill, a British actor, from the TV drama “The Tudors.” The movie will be out in December of 2012.
