Boston Bombing Reactions Show Changing Chinese Attitudes
The Boston Marathon bombing was the largest terror attack on US soil since September 11, 2001. But the bombing didn't just shake the US. In China, hundreds of millions of netizens watched the aftermath of the bombings closely. And their reactions were quite different than those 12 years ago, after the World Trade Center attacks. In Boston, one of the victims was a Chinese graduate student at Boston University, which hit home for many young people in China. But the change in attitude goes deeper than that. And it could mean more for how Chinese people will engage the rest of the world in the future.
